And that’s a wrap…. for Microsoft’s Internet Explorer. The company announced this news last Wednesday. The official day will be June 22nd, 2021. [2]

The main reason? Companies are always evolving the types of technologies they use these days to stay current. Strategically speaking, this may actually be a good move for the company, with the newest version of their Internet Browser, called Microsoft Edge — which is more user-friendly.

Some of the features of Microsoft Edge are: [3]

· Customization of extensions.

· Always staying connected.

· Browsing safety.

· Trackers having a difficult time keeping track of web history.

· Ability to access PDF’s quickly.

· Ease of searching.

By introducing this new server, it has the ability to compete with major internet search engines, such as Google Chrome. This in turn projects Microsoft as a technology-based company that is adapting new trends.
